\n\t\t\tPatrick Prohaska has always had a keen scientific interest in the mysteries of the world.\u00a0As an undergraduate he studied History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Kansas,\u00a0where he specialized in the history of chemistry, from its Medieval roots in alchemy through the\u00a0scientific revolution. He carried his passion for scientific analysis into his Master\u2019s Degree\u00a0program in Asian Religions, with an emphasis on ancient India. In his doctorate program he\u00a0ABD for a degree in Religion in Modern India.
\nThroughout his academic career, Patrick dabbled in various healing modalities, trying\u00a0them out in a scientific manner to see which ones worked for him. He studied the Radiance\u00a0Technique version of Reiki, became an expert in aromatherapy and herbal medicine, and\u00a0developed a thriving massage therapy practice in Brescia, Italy in the early 1990s. He also taught\u00a0various forms of Yoga, as well as Stott Pilates. He honed his teaching skills in graduate school,\u00a0and was a professor of Philosophy and Religion at a small college in central Iowa.
\nLike many students, Patrick funded his education in the restaurant industry, and by the\u00a0time he was ready to write his dissertation he\u2019d already been general manager of two restaurants.\u00a0When university support for low-profit programs such as Asian Religions began to dry up he\u00a0decided to give up his dream of teaching and instead embrace a career in restaurant management.\u00a0This led him to San Francisco and Los Angeles, two markets in which the upscale\u00a0restaurant industry can be absolutely cut-throat. Over the years he held management positions at\u00a0some of the most prestigious restaurants in the nation, jobs that many restaurateurs would have\u00a0sold their soul to get. But he felt dead inside. He jumped from job to job, hoping to find a\u00a0position that he could finally be happy with, but each one was progressively worse than the last.
\nWhere were the Reiki principles? Where was the yoga mindset? He spent 12-14 hours a day, six\u00a0days a week, running from crisis to crisis and butting heads with some of the most inflated egos\u00a0in the industry. In the end he collapsed and found himself in the hospital with stress and anxiety-related respiratory issues. He hit rock bottom, lost everything, and vowed to once again live life\u00a0on his own terms, from a place of personal power.
\nHis first step was to dive once again into the universal principles and practices that had\u00a0previously brought him joy. He studied Law of Attraction life coaching with the Quantum\u00a0Success Coaching Academy, received multiple certifications in Theta Healing, and became a\u00a0certified practitioner and teacher of Awakening Dynamics. Eventually he synthesized his own\u00a0system, Thrive Energetics, which blends Law of Attraction life coaching principles with\u00a0powerful morphogenetic field activations and subconscious reprogramming.
